August 2, 2008 -  HPEA Cowboy Days and Cookoff - Lubbock, TX
    The High Plains Epilepsy Association conducted their Cowboy Days & Cookoff on Saturday.  This event was to raise funds for the services HPEA provides, as well as providing a chance to relax for families dealing with epilepsy.  We cooked for the public, serving over 200 attendants brisket, beans, coleslaw, rolls, and cobbler.  This was a great event that we were proud to be a part of.

July 18, 2008 - Aldridge/Molloy Wedding - Canyon, TX (Private Event)
    We fed the family certified angus beef ribeye steaks after the rehearsal.  Seventy-five folks enjoyed the steaks, along with roasted skillet corn, beans, baked potatoes, dinner rolls, and peach cobbler.  Congratulations to the new bride & groom!

June 20-22, 2008 -  Running Water Draw Cowboy Symposium - Clovis, NM
    We cooked for 40 people in the first annual Running Water Draw Cowboy Symposium in Clovis.  Saturday's noon meal was chicken fried steak, red beans, potatoes, bread and cobbler.  We placed first in bread, second in potatoes, and third in cobbler.  Sunday morning we fed about 60 people a full breakfast of biscuits, gravy, eggs, bacon & sausage.  We placed second in the biscuits and gravy contest (judges for this portion of the contest were the folks eating off of the wagons).



June 14, 2008 - CANSAT Rocket Launch - Wayside, TX
    During the 2008 CANSAT competition, we fed 100 competitors from all over the country (and a few foreigners, too!).  20 teams from many different states including New Hampshire, Michigan, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Iowa, and even two teams from Mexico.  We served breakfast burritos for the breakfast meal, with fruit and drinks.  For dinner, we served barbeque sandwiches, chips, baked beans and cobbler.  Here's a picture of our Mexico City rocket friends having cobbler for the first time in their lives.

   
June 13, 2008 - Wedding Rehersal Dinner - Plainview, TX
    For the Edards Wedding Rehearsal, we fed 75 people 8 oz centercut sirloin steaks, cowboy bites, New Orleans Potatoes, green beans, salad, yeast rolls, peach cobbler and bread pudding with Jack sauce.

April 26, 2008 - Ute Lake Chuckwagon Cookoff - Logan, NM
    We fed 75 people traditional chicken-fried steak, mashed potatoes, pinto beans, bread, and apple cobbler.  We placed FIRST in the beans, bread, and dessert categories.  We also placed second in the meat, and got third place with our potatoes.

April 11-12, 2008 - CFH2008 Cowboys for Heroes - San Antonio, TX
   We traveled to San Antonio, Texas for our second trip to feed the soldiers at Brooke Army Medical Center at Fort Sam Houston.

October 12-14, 2007 - Lincoln County Cowboy Symposium - Ruidoso, NM
    In the 18th Annual LCCS, Rising W was one of the 25 wagons in attendance.  We received FIRST PLACE honors for our chicken-fried steak, and got a third-place finish for the biscuits & gravy contest Sunday morning. 

September 14-15, 2007 - Cattle Drive - Plainview, TX
    We served a lunch for the event sponsors on Friday, cooking brisket, cobbler, and cornmeal rolls.  Saturday for breakfast, we cooked biscuits and gravy for the public.  We finished the event during lunch Saturday serving out barbeque ribs, cobbler and nachos. 

September 8, 2007 - Arena Church - Canyon, TX
    During this annual event, we pleased more than 100 kids and adults with grub -- hot dogs, chili, and cobbler

September 7, 2007 - McPherson/Black Wedding - Wellington, TX (Private Event)
    We prepared 10 oz ribeye steaks, loaded mashed potatoes, pinto beans, our famous cornmeal rolls, and peach cobbler for a party of 50.  Congratulations to the new bride & groom!

February 2-3, 2007 - Cowboys for Heroes - San Antonio, TX
   We traveled to San Antonio, Texas to feed the wounded soldiers and their families at the Brooke Army Medical Center.

April 14th, 2007 - Farm Sale - Happy, TX
    We served approximately 200 people a menu of barbeque sandwiches, german suasage wraps and pork ribs.

April 17th, 2007 - Steak Dinner - Happy, TX (Private Event)
    The menu was 10 oz Certified Angus ribeye steaks, roasted corn, pan fried potatoes, cornmeal rolls, and peach cobbler.

July 7th, 2007 - Wedding Celebration - Pilot Point, TX (Private Event)
    150 attendees enjoyed barbeque brisket, sausage and ribs, along with coleslaw, beans & cornbread, and blueberry & peach cobbler.
